Saveetha Engineering College, started in the year 2001 by the Saveetha Medical & Educational Trust, is committed to develop this college into a renowned institution for Engineering education and research. The institution offers 11 UG programmes and and 8 PG programmes.Saveetha Engineering College has now blossomed into quite a large institution with a total strength of about 4100 students .The institution has more than 100 Doctorates across various disciplines.

Five of the above mentioned UG courses have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), AICTE, New Delhi for three years, accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for the period of five years .On the basis of the Quality Assurance System the institution have been certified ISO 9001:2000 by BVQI in 2006, upgraded to ISO 9001:2008 by BVQI in 2010. The institution has excellent infrastructure, laboratories, library, computer centre, research centre and well qualified and experienced faculty to train the students to become competent professionals.
